The cookie. These are delicious vanilla butter cookies. They melt in your mouth, are rich & crumbly, and oh so elegant. Cut into rectangles of 2 inch x 1.25 inch, each cookie assumes its own rectangle, and a shade of golden brown on baking. They are a delight to make, and eat because the most basic ingredients become so special when used in the right proportions, and methodically.
The box. A box of vanilla shortbread cookies contains six pouches, and each pouch contains two vanilla shortbread cookies neatly packed .
The ingredients. A butter cookie made the way it should be, with five ingredients only: flour, butter, vanilla, sugar, and salt. We cream the butter and sugar until fluffy, add french vanilla paste, and then mix. And depending on the weather, this butter vanilla dough takes its own time to come together, so beautifully.
